Hi People, I just bought a Nord West a couple of weeks ago.
It's done 11000km from new and been stood for 7 years so i'm taking it apart and putting it back together to see what i have.

Hi,
To change the cambelt is absolutly important after
7 years not running the engine.Change the belt
befor you start the engine, new valves are hard
to get.Ask Joachim for a digital manual if you need one.
good luck and plenty of fun with your gilera.

Hello to all Gilera owners, I am from Romania and I am very happy that i have found this forum.
Curently I have the following Gilera models : Gilera RC 600 C registered and running, Nordwest 600 -completed & running but cannot be registered as was saved from being used for spare parts, Gilera RC 600 - 70% complete and it is used mainly for spare parts.
In the next period I want ot buy a Gilera XRT 600 - 1988 and to bring it to life.
I don't know how how is in the other countries but Gilera motorcycles are very rare and becomes colectable.
Ride and be free,

Re: English speaking Gileristi are welcome!
Good morning all,
I just joined the forum yesterday after purchasing a CX125 a few months ago. The old story is, it looked ok in the photos but it aged considerable in the week it took to transport it across the country.
I have been chasing parts for the last couple of months with limited success & was wondering if there is a good supplier in Europe that would be willing to send the parts to Australia?
Cheers
Ivan

Welcome on the forum Weed! Specific Gilera CX parts are hard to find. The plasics that were used for the fairing were brittle from the start and will break easily after all these years. For fairing replacement parts take a look at http://www.airtech-streamlining.com/gilera/cx125.htm
