IOM Saturno fairing rubbing on radiator

Hi there, My IOM Saturno 500 front fairing is rubbing against the side of the radiator (circled in image below). Is there supposed to be something screwed into the thread (arrow)? I can't find anything in the manual. One option might be to install a rubber stop in this thread which will push the fai...

Saturno rear brake master cylinder rebuild kit

I'm having problems with the rear brake on the Saturno 500 IOM. I have bled it a few times, but it won't bleed properly. Pressure can be gained by a few small pumps on the lever and it is fine, but if left for 2 weeks it needs pumping again to get pressure. Yesterday the piston jammed fully in. That...

Re: New Saturno 500 IOM owner

Snow White is very pretty :D

GBM is the Sticker/decal that people from the Isle of Man put on their vehicles when travelling overseas? Like "D" for Germany.

Re: New Saturno 500 IOM owner

That is a nice red one you have over in WA. Good that there are a few more in the country. Yes,HP, the front fairing is different and the screen is a different shape too as it curves over the light as you can see below: https://i.ibb.co/zHgz1zt/saturno-screen-1.jpg https://i.ibb.co/Bn2nb7y/saturno-b...

Re: New Saturno 500 IOM owner

"water temperature absolutely perfect as long as you are in the green range with 1 mm spare to the end."

That is good to know. I didn't use the bleed nut on the cylinder head so will refill using that.

Re: New Saturno 500 IOM owner

The first proper road ride went well. It was a cold early morning with a ride of about 100km around the north of Tasmania. Stopped at Lilydale for a warm up drink. https://i.ibb.co/TmmP5Tf/saturno-lilydale.jpg The temp was running high on the gauge. Is this normal, or something to worry about? It wa...

Re: New Saturno 500 IOM owner

Yes Mike, I saw your very good video. I took it out for a short ride on the weekend. The pipes didn't seem too loud but will see how it goes on the longer runs. I have the baffles if I need them. The rubber bush has been glued which seems to have worked ok. I will still try and replace it if I can. ...

Re: New Saturno 500 IOM owner

It seems the registration process can vary around the country (Australia). The exhaust pipes were fine without baffles. - even though I had them ready if required. My "finely" crafted chainguard didn't get a mention... I have just had the tank, seat and fairing repainted the same colour as...

Re: New Saturno 500 IOM owner

The second oil sightglass was successfull. The registration process is still ongoing. There was a faulty front brake electrical switch, brake lines to change for regulations. Meanwhile I could take it to the track for a test run. Apart from an idle screw spring not doing its job causing difficult st...

Re: New Saturno 500 IOM owner

I found the gear selector rod was bent and hitting the footrest support. It just needed rotating around and then worked fine. A short ride, but what a great handling bike!! The sightglass was a new one I got from Bob Wright. It seems to have some small cracks in. I was careful in doing it up, but ma...

Re: New Saturno 500 IOM owner

I have made some progress with getting the Saturno roadworthy. Timing belt changed, water pump checked and seems ok. Repainted a few rusty parts and have a new screen. New tires, bled brakes, rebuilt carb, changed oil and filter.Replaced cracked sightglass - still leaking a little. I took it for a s...
