Re: Gilera Sport 1954 150cc
Good morning, I have just seen your post, I have just returned to this forum after a break of several years! A dragging clutch could be due to the 'tangs' on the plates being worn and catching. Or were the plates new?
It would be nice to see pictures of your bike.

I'm back!
Hi all, you may remember, long ago, that I was rebuilding a Gilera 150 for a friend. Last week I was leading a club run, but none of my bikes were roadworthy, and so my friend let me borrow the Gilera. I have promised to give it a service, but have had one decent ride on it so far.

Gilera engine number
Good evening, it has been some time since I last visited here. There is currently on UK Ebay, a Gilera described as a 150 Rossa Extra, but I thought that the Rossa Extra was always a 175. The engine number on the bike is : 18960**
Can anyone tell me what age and cc this is ?
Regards, Tony.

Gilera 150 head gasket.
Hi all, the Gilera 150 Sport I have been working on is nearly finished, though I do still have electrical problems! However, the purpose of this post is to ask about the head gasket. I used a new one, the head and barrel seemed quite flat, and I tightened down the head tight.
But, after running the ...

Re: Gilera 150 Gran Turismo
Hi, I made the mistake of sending my generator to be re-magnetized, however, these types hold only a residual magnetism and are not supposed to be strongly magnetized ! I paid the 'expert' who told me he could not do it. I then found a man in USA who told me you do not need to re-magnetize. I have ...

Nordwest 350 water pump
Hi all, does anyone have a usable water pump for a 350 Nordwest ? Mine has seized, and in trying to dismantle it, I destroyed the body !
Cheers, Tony.

Re: Powerdynamo
Hi Uli, no, the problem is not running, the bike starts and runs just fine !
It however does not charge, and the checks I have made on both the dynamo and the regulator suggest that they are both faulty. To rewind the dynamo would probably cost nearly as much as buying the PD kit !
I just wondered ...

Powerdynamo
Hello everybody, I am interested in knowing how many of you have fitted a Powerdynamo kit ? I think it may be an answer to the problems I have with the 150 sport. Getting a generator rewound is expensive, as is finding a replacement regulator unless I get a solid state one, so buying a kit that has ...
