This ìs my now-restored 1966 Giubileo 202 Super. It was purchased from a dealer in Granger, Utah and rested since 1971 before I purchased and restored it in late 2024. It seems to be an unusual U.S. scrambler variant, with a higher pipe, high handlebars, and shallow fenders. With new rings the acceleration is decently snappy and the gearing is good for general riding.

What a fantastic bike Owen! Great that you have kept it original.
It is an ultra rare scrambler version of the Gilera 202 model range.
I think it was a factory spec as it was mentioned in the adverts.
That says in the bottom "Also available in Extra and Scrambler models".

This model was not sold in Europe but what we did get was a Fuoristrada version.
That version looks very similar to your bike, it has the same fenders and handle bar.
In fact the only difference that I can see is the color scheme on the fuel tank.
This version is also very rare, I have only seen it once or twice while in Italy.

I hope you will enjoy your Gilera very much! Are there any parts that you need?

Thank you Nozem, i feel very fortunate to have found and purchased this bike. I would like to think i have the only surviving scrambler variant in Utah at least, if not in the US! I have not done any painting other than to make the tank presentable. I wanted it to be a reliable, rideable survivor rather than a display piece. It's complete except for the tail light lens. I bought the right profile lens from Italy, but it was much to shallow to fit over the bulb and housing, so for now I have adapted a Honda lens.
With new piston rings (Fiat!), and valves and carburetor adjusted, it's a fairly quick little bike.

Also Nozem, thank you very much for the Fuorastrada picture! As you said, only the tank appears different on mine, but that might just reflect year to year changes in paint schemes, I would think. My serial number is 201.768, which i believe puts it in the 1966 range.
