I would like help in determining the year and model of my Gilera. The serial number on the frame & engine is 002*1785. It is missing most tin parts and engine covers. I have hopes to restore it for the Montz Motorcycle Museum in Tecumseh, Nebraska USA. This M/C was found in Nebraska USA. I appreciate all help or suggestions. Thanks...Greg GMcrocket02@gmail.com

Congrats! A VIN number starting with *002* means you have got a Gilera 98 Sei Giorni.
This is the six days version, a rare model derived from endurance races on and off road.
Please check out earlier posts of user SIATAMM on this forum a few years ago.
He is in Vermont USA and has the exact same bike, even his VIN is close to yours.
