Hi i have just bought a Gilera rally 125
Hello everyone my names Tom
ive just bought a gilera rally 125 i belive the last owner was on here as you may recognize the bike it has the gilera sc 600 front end
i was sold it as a gilera r1 125 but after looking around i belive it to be a rally since it has rally wrote all over it and i belive the r1 has a 32mm carb were as my bike has a 28mm carb
i was hoping to get some information on were to get parts
i need a chain and sprocket kit as my chain is a bit shagged lol
i also could do with a rear wheel bearing kit as they have a little bit of movement
also gear box oil what type do i need? as clutch feels a bit poo until bike is warm
also i would like to know if the standard exhaust says 'SEM' on it as i dont belive this to be a standard part
thanks in advance
Tom

as always... where did you come from?Sketchytom wrote: i was hoping to get some information on were to get parts
In Germany there is Gottfried Hahne (Hahnepower) or Volker Heim.
In GB you can get parts from Bob Wright.
Roller bearings are standard industrial parts. You may pull out the bearings measure them or read the number on them. There is no need to use genuine Gilera partsi also could do with a rear wheel bearing kit as they have a little bit of movement
engine oil 15W40 1,2lalso gear box oil what type do i need?
ciao joachim

Maybe you should start the one the manual tells
Bosch W2CC
Champion N2
I'm not shure thet those plugs are still available.
You may search the web for a conversion table.

Re: Hi i have just bought a Gilera rally 125
i dont understand
manifold bolts onto the cylinder?
my piston is the one with windows in it
edit
i now understand what you are on about it is the new type where it goes into the crankcase
turns out the guy i bought this off ripped me off
he siezed it and bought a new piston and sold it. after a thousand miles it started playing up cause the cylinder is dead
