Gilera 125 RC ? insurance confusion

hey everyone, ive just bought a big Gilera 125cc two stroke, and im having problems with insuring it as the insurance company cant seem to find it. its a 1989 modle and was imported in 2001. as far as i know its an RC and looks exactly like a RC600 however ive just had the MOT done on it and it says APTS as the modle
has anyone had similar problems or can anyone say for definate what modle it is?
