RC600 Exhaust replacement

Post by Pandrop » Sun Oct 04, 2009 9:06 pm

Hi, ive just bought a nice 20 year old rc600 for the winter while the fireblade stays nice and dry in the garage, but the exhaust has rotted out completely and she sounds really loud . Does anyone know of either a kit that can be fitted inside the old pipe or of an aftermarket exhaust suitable for this bike that wont mess up the performance ? Any advice, suggestions etc would be gratefiully recieved
cheers

you may also have a look for a good original one. Get it sandblasted, coated with Aluminium and painted.
Beside this there are some other posibillities. But both hard to find :(
Arrow. Stainless but louuuuuuud.
SilMotor. Outside stainless and aluminium. Inside only mild steel.

There is also a Marving available. Road legal, mild steel and black chromed outside.
Not toooooo expensive. If you have this in mind, the quality is.... somehow aceptable.

Next we have is Quat-D. I'm not shure if you can still buy one.
For the brits. Quill? They have a copy of the original in their programm. Still available?
Predator, Gazelle??? Also..... they had, but if there still is something you can buy???

Next, like Gottfried has offered above, do it your self :)
I don't know if you need something road legal.

Good luck ;)

ciao Joachim

"KTM" exhaust ist only one type, it`s street-legal, but you can have other types too, I must build it, no problem! Bye Gottfried
