Are we talking about the starter clutch?
To find under the left side engine cover.
The one which will say a loud 'clonk' when it's broken while starting?
You won't get to buy such a thing any more
But you can get it repaired.
If you can get done this by yourself you will need a KTM spare part.
You have to remove the sheet metal cover, replace the inside by the KTM part and remount the cover. (if you would like to do it i will search for the part number and the howto-file from Mueller)
The other solution is to send your clutch to Switzerland and get all the work done by Mauri.

Thanks Joachim for your reply on my issue. And you are so right in your thoughts about what´s wrong in my engine. Of course it is the starter clutch. "Big smile" but i didn´t find the right word for it until i heard it. Anyway i´m very intrested to know about what partnumber it is on that KTM starter clutch. By the way i have already remount the cover. Actually i have very soon almost a new motor for my Nordwest. I have to tell you, it started with a broken time belt and rest is history "big smile again". So now then, there is just this starter clutch i have to fix. By the way Joachim, do yuo have any clue about the cost for repairing at Mauri?Joachim wrote:Are we talking about the starter clutch?

Re: Part for Nordwest (drum with gear, partnr. GI0001206)!!?
Sorry, the link seems not to work like i have thought
Mauri asks about 129 Euro for the clutch repair and about 27 Euro for grinding the inner part (if necessary). Of course you will have to pay shipping costs. And maybe you will have to deal with your local custom service
The KTM part is about 60 or 70 Euro.
To remove the cover of the starter clutch is not easy. You should take care that you didn't bend the sheet metal to much. And it's also not easy to remount it
Mauri has a special tool and uses a new cover (as far as i know taht)
Part Number KTM - 584.40.026.000
I don't know how difficult it is to get KTM parts in sweden
For the how to i will have a look in my archives... tomorrow.
ciao joachim

I have just installed this KTM part as my starter clutch was slipping off with a loud BANG and it works just fine with the new KTM part fitted - GREAT!
