Hi:
About spare parts, try to
http://www.hahne-power.de/ he have a lot of.
About check the valves without open engine, I thing the best way is to put the new and try to turn the engine without electrical starter, with hand if there are compresion ( with the wheel, for example)
Or may be without belt, turn the camsaft until close the valves and try to turn the cranshaft with hands if there are compresion...
But if the valves are ok, try to buy a ticket of lottery because you are a lucky man!!!
Normally they are damages.
Well good lucky!!!

... Carlos says all the right things ...
If you need a very good garage, in Belgium I don't know, but in Cologne, a little garage ... ask me if you want the phone-number etc. ...
good luck & best regards

hello Haai,
in what part of Belgium do you stay. (I'm from belgium too; flemish)
I can ask theman who does the work on my bike, but I'm not sure he can do it because he's busy, busy.
anyhow let me know something and I'll pay you a visit.
