Fuel Switcher position

Post by Gilgilera » Tue Mar 06, 2007 11:06 am

This must be a dummy question and mainly because i didn´t investigate properly the switcher,......, so its easier to ask.
when i got my RC, it hadn´t any indication at all on the tank.

There are 3 positions for the fuel switcher, upper -> ???? ; middle -> closed ; down -> ????

Fuel switcher

Post by pppdrive » Tue Mar 06, 2007 3:19 pm

No question is a dummy question if you do not know the answer.
I would think one position is for main fuel supply on, one for reserve fuel (about 2 ltrs) and one for off.
I could be very wrong as I have not seen your model.

Hi Gil

Upper position is main fuel on, middle closed, down reserve on.
ATTENTION: It depends how you have connected the fuel conduit to the switcher. There are flashes on the connectors of the switcher, which indicates the directions how the fuel conduits should be connected.
So probably it's the other way around. :wink:

I drive my Nordwest #1 always in the reserve-position, because she run's better like this. And as I always have to look for a gas-station after 100 to 120 km (Consumation: road use 6,8 to 8 l, racetrack 10 to 12 l over 100km) everything else doesn't make sense to me. :lol:

Kind regards

Sam
