The manuals I have show that the float level for carb should be between 34-36mm however, the bowls are only about 37mm deep themselves.
Can anyone advise if the float levels should be this close to the bottom of the bowl or has the manual got it wrong?
Thanks,
Paul

Maybe this is one of Luigis mystified secrets.... or just a misprint in the manuals.
We had this discussion some months (years?) ago. Also the english mailing list was talking about that. But no conclusion was found.
Maybe Luigi was just confused with the Saturnos carb.
Just a excerpt from this days....
The manual says 35mm for the Nordwest, but I'd measured the height at about 24 or 25mm. I checked the measurement procedure in a Haynes manual I had to hand to make sure I wasn't doing something daft. Then I noticed that the service manual also gives the measurement for the Saturno (I think), and that was down as 23-25mm. So I figured that the 35 must be a misprint, and it was supposed to be 25 +- 1mm.

Thanks Joachim,
Sure looks like 25mm is more accurate than the manual, we'll give it a try and see what happens!!!!

Hi all,
Having read through the entire manuals, I have found on another page the figures of 24mm +/- 2mm, so I guess that should be the correct figure.
