Hello,

Finally, yesterday I could start my saturno after rebuilding. Ok, it is not ready yet but near. 610cc, 11.6:1 comp, carrillo rod, nordwest cams, 41mm keihin fcr and a new (home made) under seat exhaust. What a noise, but so beautiful sound... (where the hell is my earplugs??)....

A new ignition is on the table, Ignitech programable cdi box.

But question is; can I remove the flyweel or do I need to do some light flywheel? I don't need alternator, only battery (track use only). It will be easier to fit a new ignition system with a new light flywheel.

Any recommends for a right spark plug?

I have to make a little clarification, engine is not from saturno, it is from rcr -91, some parts are from saturno and cylinderhead is from piuma.

seems to be that there isn't anything in the Saturno tuning pages of HP.
I somewhere *must* at least have a picture of the pickup HP did fit on his Saturno... but... I can't find it

Beside this you will need a battery which lasts as long as you need it

PS you will need a serial cable for programming. 9pin male /female (urks... why did I have a male/male one???)
Used are pins 2, 3 and 5. Just connected through.
And I would like to suggest to use some cover for the connector of the ignition while it is mounted on the bike.

And why my laptop has only USB port. Maybe converter works maybe not. Or maybe I have to drive my bike to the living room...(there is the old computer with needed ports)

Things happens (sh** things at this time).

I spent midnight sun festival at race track. I took saturno and y*****a race bike with in.

I started to heat saturno, everything was fine. Little bit carb adjusting and then I deside to go out and take a couple test lap. I could make only few hundred meters. Cooling water blow out from the plastic bottle (what it is in english?). Water temp was only 70celsius when it happens.

Was it head gasket??? or what you think. I havent open it yet. I ride rest three days with yam***.
Is there anything to do if it was head gasket, because then it was third burned head gasket.

Yes it was. It is not necessary to take head off to see it. Head gasket is blow out just upperside waterpump. Everytime same place. What is wrong???? Cylinder was new, head was traight, gasket was new.

If you see bubbles in the bottle.. it always is the head gasket

If you still have machined the surface of the head... what else could it be?
We have just had a similar thing around here.
First attempt rise the torque. If I remembe right 10% plus are ok.
Next one... the holes in the head gasket seem to be bit tight. Maybe the inner sheet metall part of the gasket did prevent the gasket to go down well when it ist torqued... just an idea. The guy who had the problem did open the holes a little bit s oit could go down the studs vey easy.
In the end it was something compeltelly different.
The torque wrech was hardly misconfigurated. Torque was far away from that what the scale on the wrench showed up
So you may check this first.

I did this because the gasket was tight. Maybe I did not open enough.

I have calibrated torque wrench (not long time ago) and before I use it I make a couple test/warm "cliks"
I used only 35Nm (oiled treads), so maybe 40Nm is better?

Hmm....I really took only one and came back home to drink more...and wait if mr. Gottfried will answer for my mail. Is he at home or holliday??? How long I have to drink beer before I can do something for my saturno????
