Hallo
New problem with my RC600.
When normal warm ir dies, engine bludres and coffes then die.
When it's cold again then easy to start...
I wonder if it's ignition coil, pickup or black box...???

Maybe.....
Start with the cheap things
Spark plug, cap and cable.
You may also screw out the spark plug when the engine is hot, plug it into the cap, hold it down to the engine and start.... spark ok???
If not, it might be a dead ignition coil. They sometimes like to treat bike owners with exactly this behavior you are telling about

Could be a fuel-problem I experience with my nordie from time to time..

Sometimes the carburetor doesn´t get enough fuel - then the motor dies.
You wait - fuel flows slowly into the carburetor and after a while everything works fine until there is not enough fuel in the carbuetor and so on...

Looks like a cold/hot problem at first sight...

If you use any filters remove them, make sure you don´t have air-bubbles in your gastube (is it called tube?).
Also check if there is enough gasoline flowing into the carburetor - adjust "swimmers" if necessary.
Maybe the valve of your fueltank doesn´t work right - if you have put a cap on your fueltank valve remove it.

If your problem occurs less often when your tank is full this might be a hint.

Thanks for yor hints... :P
When the engine dies ,it does it with a lot of noice in carb and exhaust pipe for some seconds and then not a single life.
As if the ignition is set wrong...!!

Usually this could not happen....
You may check the pickup at the flywheel. Screws ok?
The gap between the pickup points and the coresponding part of the flywheel should be about 0,8mm... if I remember right

The next, more expensive, thing could be the diaphragm in the secondary carb. I had much problems with stalling engine when it was hardened very much.

But... as said before... start up with the cheap things

In my case it appeared when the fuel tank was half empty. Don't ask me why. I never managed to find out exatcly what happend. Replacing the carb did cure everything.
Just another thing to think about....
It might be something cheaper. At least I hope so :)

good luck, Joachim

Hallo
I think I have solved the problem...
The problem starts with about 4 liter of petrol left in tank.
So i have rerouted..(change the way the hoses from tank to carb are placed)
I have the normal one on top of carb and spare hose under the carb ..
And it seems to work...I think..!!
But it has to got with the supply of petrol and not the ignition...
Cheaper that way
Thanks for your tip, because of that I found the cause of problem...
