News about the 'future' of Gilera

Hi Gileristi all over the world

I read last saturday in the biggest bike-magazine of Germany (MOTORRAD) that PIAGGIO plans to stop producing GILERA- and LAVERDA-motorbikes. This includes the actual production (scooters and bikes) as well.

This informations are not confirmed yet. Did anyone of you have some further informations?

Piaggio has recently bought Aprilia, and the glorious names connected with it (Moto Guzzi, Moto Morini above all), so it is possible that in the future these trades wiil be used at/in the place of Gilera ........
