Hi friends !
Problems again
Some thing is wrong with the cooling system.
Here is the report:
When i was building the bike i cleaned everything including the radiator.
there was no thermostat (previous owner must of took it out).
all tubes are clean and the water pump is brand new, so there is no restriction in the system.
The problem is overheating. when i drive slow (low rews) the temp gauge is a bit over the middle of the scale but when i drive hard it throws the water form the system through the expansion bottle and the temp gauge jumps on the red area.
Anyone have an idea?

blown head gasket?
Maybe the piston is pressing gas from the combustion chamber up in to the cooling system.
Bubbles will indictae this.
You may ask in a car workshop for a test. They usually have some kind of indicator liquid to detect CO in the cooling liquid.
Maybe.....

Head gasket is new

i`w checked the head and "worked" the lips so there is no scoring.
I`l check the gasket again tomorrow but i doubt it`s blown

you have torqued the nuts well with a reliable torque wrench?

Hi Kic!
Trivial question: is there enought water into cooling circuit?
It's possible that there is
air into circuit?
I mean..... when you loaded water into cooling circuit,
did you tilt your bike several times on right side to leave out air from circuit?
Sometimes there is a lot of air into cooler circuit.... and temperature jump on red area.....

Did that. I am sure that the system was full.

The problem is sorted
the head bolts were not tighten enough...

you defintly should use a good torque wrench for doing things like this.
Maybe there is somewhere one to lend.

A friend of mine lend it to me. USAG brand (lifetime guarantee).
torqued them to 20Nm. that`s enough right?

My manuals tell about 20 to 22 Nm for the CX
Hope that is all the same on the 125ccm engines

I've take a glance at Gilera workshop manual for MXR:
I confirm Joachim's data torque (20 - 22 Nm)
