Vernacular English:
On the top of the motor are two square plates, underneath are the cams and the rocker arms.
The two square plates you have to remove to view the cams/rocker arms arre usually known as 'rocker covers'....... or sometimes 'cam covers'

the colour of the rockerbox is different from the one of the cylinderhead,
looks like someone,maybe a former owner mixed the parts of two or more engines to put one together.That could explain the problems about the camshaftwheels.You might either have to check the whole engine and
control the complete timing thats a hard job without some special
tools and a bit experience or try to get a used unit one,or if it had been running so far leave it as it is and hope the best.

Ok, as i guessed That's a nice method if i can find out "in what position should the valves be at piston's TDC(ignition)"...

Colour difference is because of my paint job, it was all same a month ago (Just didn't paint the head from inside)
So i will try my best for correct timing and then hope the best...

Good luck,everything might be easyer if you find
another Gileraowner within reach to compare,but
that seems easyer said tan done.
