saturno ignition timing

hello,
for a gilera 500 sarurno 1948.

what is the ignition timing? in the user manual i can reed: ponts begin to open at top dead center of compression stroke.
is that correct?

Hi Guzziguy,
I had the same problem with my Nettuno, after instaling des Magnet.
The point must just start to open by Piston in top center.
I have used the repair manual from the saturno.

Hi Spaetlese,

i have set the timing at top dead center.
he starts good with no advance.
but making some revs, he is not turning properly, even with a litlle advance.
perhapse something with the carburation?
btw where can i find the repair manual?

Hi Guzziguy,
I had to reset the Magnet three times, befor I found the right setting.
