Gilera in the press

Postby geert pardon » Tue Dec 27, 2011 9:25 pm

Hi all,

I just get a message that in the number of december from the magazine "moto légende" is an article about mono's.
It's a comparison of the Saturno with Y*m*h* SRX, and the H*nd* XBR.
The French Gileraclub found some mistakes in the article but they tell that in the next issue there will be a reply.
thursday I'll have my copy and then I let you know it's interesting....

Stupid me  (yes yes I know myself) it's of course in the januar issue.

I doubt it's the same article because the pictures inside it's a member of the French Gileraclub.(maybe same article and new pictures???)
I'll see if I can find my old scanner (and hopes it still works) and make a scan.
It's an article of 11 pages.

Anyhow I'm looking forward.

I've got an Anniversary and I live in Holland, but never spoke to someone who is writing an article about her.

I was in Assen this year. Great to see lots of Saturno's there. 9, if I counted correctly.
The last time I rode there myself in 2004, there were only 2.

Ciao, Hans

Dear Hans,
we found out that you was at the Gilera Melderslo meeting in 2003 where I was too with my wife with the Saturnos. Funny.
Do you know Ruud Havik? It seems that he has an Anniversary too.
Ruud was in Melderslo too.
Perhaps Jan sent you this information already.
We are this Sunday at the Ital-dag Beusichem. Perhaps you have time to come.
Gilera NL racing team plans to come with 10 Gileras (or less). Meeting point may be at the Aermacchi stand.

Another Anniversary in NL is stored in a privated Gilera collection without access, but I have pics about.

Gruß

Hi Gileristi,

I was told that the Saturno article is being written by Ad van Boheemen and will be in the next issue of the Dutch magazine Classic & Retro.
Unfortunately I don't know exactly when it will be on sale, but as soon as it comes available you can order your copy at

https://www.tijdschriftnu.nl/tijdschriften/classic-retro

I hope to see you all in Beusichem next sunday, I will be there too at the Aermacchi clubstand *thumb*

Greetings,
Nozem rulez

I have the feeling that more than 3 Anniversaries are in NL.
Two are seen at the Italomeeting in Beusichem last weekend. One is stored in a private Gilera collection. Another one is not cleary identified. Perhaps somebody else can help.

Hello HP,

According to my information there are 28 Gilera Nuovo Saturnos registered in The Netherlands at the moment.
I don't know how many of those are Anniversaries. And I expect that not all Saturnos around will have a license plate...
