Neue vergasser?

Post by indreams » Tue Jun 09, 2015 8:06 am

sorry for my German(google translate)

My problem is the carburetors.

My current carburetors are bad and I will order some new. Bob Whright sells a new original set for £165 but is the MIKUNI TM34 Flat Slide Carburettor worth the extra money(kedo sells them for 500€=£400)

all inputs are welcome

@Indreams,
the Mikuni TM34-65 is a Competion Carb. ok it is more expensive.
by Topham - Mikuni Germany it is by 475 Euro .
or the simple solution , with a Dellotro PHBH 30QS from the Gilera XRT ???

Hey Micheal

The TM34-B65 fits definitely on the Nordie.
The center of the Mass carburetor is adjustable and has been repeatedly
mounted on the Nordi.
Especially the B65 tell from the measure of the distance between the centers.

The carburetor is also available for other measures. eg 98 mm

That was a Komunikationsproblem

Greetings Dietmar

the carbs centering is 68 mm and the "manifol" is 65 mm. not at big problem though

Image

trail fittet with very small tolerance from idle screw to frame

havent got pictures of the carbs final fitment but they works very good indeed. Just have to go to a rolling road to get the mixture checked.

looks like the carbs are mounted on some kind of steel sheet.
Did they touch anywhere?
If not, i might be possible to file the mounting holes more oval to get them closer together

Good luck with the jetting ;)
