This is where we are today...

The only original parts left from the bike I bought are; the frame, and wheel hubs.

I have enough parts, almost, to build another bike!

Coming along nicely now!

Very little left of the original bike.

Now finished! MOT, insured and registered.

Went out for the first time on Sunday. Only covered about 5 miles. Running in a new piston and I think it's a little week due to the megaphone silencer. Silencer is not really the word to use. It's LOUD

Will have a play with the carb, fit a larger main jet and may look at going to a UB24.

Not all good news.

Been out three times now and the bike has seized up each time.

After about ten minutes the motor tightens and stops monentarily :? but frees off straight away. I have tried larger main jets, thinking that it was due to a weak mixture, however, when the cylinder was bored, they made a 2thou clearance for the piston which I feel now is to small.

Hoping the piston is salvageable, as I still have good compression, I will get the bore honed out to give a 3 to 4 though clearance. My 500 Enfield runs eight though!
