Gilera 125

Post by 125E1 » Tue Jun 29, 2010 10:11 pm

Hi,
I have a Gilera 125 here in Canada.
I need some help identifying what I have,
I have about 95% of the parts needed to complete
this restoration. Please help me identify this bike.
I am totally stoked about riding it soon.
Tonight I am going to soak the chain in Kerosene to
get years of dirt off of it in hopes to re-use it.
Have a look at my project so far.
Please comment.

Regards
Noah Train

Hi Noah!

Well..... be carefull...
Isn't "D6M"....
... but "DGM"
- D (ital. "Direzione")= Directorate
- G (ital. "Generale")= General
- M (ital. "Motorizzazione")= Motorization
Those aren't the first chassis number (three figures),...
... but just the three characters of the "Italian Motorization" acronym!

and...."OM" it's:
- OM (ital. "Omologazione")= Approval
... just the two characters of the "Italian Approval".

So.... after this...
... what's the three figures of chassis number? *thumb*

Hi Marco,
Can you help me locate the chassis number please?
Thanks for the information you have provided me so far.
I am just about ready to powder coat the frame black to start.
