Hi guys!!!
Do you like my "incredible" idea????
Does I substituted petal reeds very well????
Uhm....
Quick reply: No, I don't!!!!
Why? :|
- When I left out my old rubber collector... I cracked it.... *durchdreh*
- Now..... my engine sucks air from broken walls of collector....
- I've minimum at about 2000 rpm.....

I'm looking for a new rubber carburetor collector for Gilera XR1! *oh* *oh* *oh*
(Gilera code 316455)
Thanks a lot!!!

Do you have a photo of it?? Possible, that I have one. Best way of reed-valve is:
Multi-reeds arround 12 peaces ( Malossi? ) I tested it into SP01  ...a lot of power more!!
Ciao Gottfried ... Italian-language-study-course making at the moment, at night-scool.

Hi

the Chao carbon reeds are not for your XR1 but for my GFR.
At least i have offered my old reeds to make the new carbon parts.
Nice guy. Maybe he will do some other work for me.

Hi Joachim!
:?: :?: :?:
Really?
On eBay Chao parts sell petal reeds for many bike model.
I bought two pair of petal reeds:
- for Gilera XR1
- for Honda CRM 125 (that it's now under restore).

On CRM it's all good.
On my Gilera, now, with a broken rubber collector.... well... I don't know!
But petal reeds seems to fit very well on my blade unit....
Aren't good for my Gilera XR1?

Thanks a lot!

I should have a rubber from a SP01 at home.
If this one will fit.....

The reed of the GFR is somehow different to that of the other engines.
The older one has 3 parts, the GFR one has only 3 slots and is one part (see your pictures).
Maybe it is just the other way around. I should have a look next weekend at home ;)
Chao has had only the 'other' one.
I sent him my reeds from the GFR and they made a set for me (and Pete Fisher)

Beside this i have a Tassinari inlet which will fit nearly perfect for the GFRs inlet.
Sometimes......

First i have to do the paint job, some new sealings for the water pump and the oil leak of the engine (better i just restore the other engine i have)

ciao joachim

Hi Joachim!
No, unfortunately, SP01 fit a rubber collector for Dell'Orto carburetor WHSA 32 ES.
Gilera XR1 fit a PHBH 28 MD..... :|
Thanks a lot!
Have a good work on your GFR!
Paint job it's so boring... and expensive! (uhm.... oil leak it's hateful too....)

I wasn't shure. Bad luck :?
Paint job it's so boring... and expensive!
Not for me ;)
I only have to do the stickers.
I have repaired some computer stuff for the guys from our paint shop.
And they have asked to do something 'good' for me.
They ask every few weeks whe we will start with all this work ;)

The oil leak will also cause some work. As said before, the engine cases are distroyed.
So i will have to restore my spare engine. And there is so few time for all this work.
