its probably the carburettor jets or settings.
Hi Adrian.
Yes it' probably.....
But take a glance at the carburetor gaskets, on the top, mixer oil and rubber collector (between cylinder and carburetor).
All must to be sealed! No air must to be sucked!

Hi Adrian!
That's great!
You took a Gilera R1 in poor conditions.....
.... and now it's on the road again in wonder condition!!!!
It's a really gooood job!!!
And... 130 km/h are not very bad!
Have a nice ride!
You are welcome!
Ciao

Hi Adrian.
Can you investigate if temperature gauge it's damaged or, maybe, connection cable it's broken?
I think that I can find a brand new right part of your bike cockpit (with temperature gauge).

Hi
maybe you can see what is printed on the outer side of the sealring.
Style aa x bb x c
aa is the inner diameter, bb the outer. c is the thickness.
With this three numbers you may visit your local shop for roller bearnings. The usually will also sell sealings.
Or have a look for a internet shop for bearings.
A source for the swingarm guard may be Bob Wright or Gottfied Hahne at
www.hahne-power.de here in germany.
Another solution is to weld the worn out parts with similar plastics.
Maybe this can be done by yourself. If you have the tools and exactly the same kind of plastics.
Good luck
ciao joachim
