Chain reaction !!!!

Post by linju62 » Tue Apr 22, 2008 5:54 pm

From carburator to ignition.

Did some measuring with stator coils and fin out that one reading is 10 ohms lower than it should be so need to get flywheel out for closer check of the stator.
Who knows the measures for the flywheel puller tool?
Thread to fix it to flywheel and the bolt size + also need to know which handed the main thread shoud be.

Thanks in advance

size of puller

Post by linju62 » Wed Apr 23, 2008 7:05 pm

Hi is there anybody who can verify Joachims toughs about the size of flywheel puller for SP01?

Also if somebody have the charging coil on desk or can easily measure the coil between that blue wire and ground please tell me the result.

Thanks JukkaImage

Wrong :(

M26 x1,0 RH
I've checked back the flywheel of my GFR.
I bought it last year new. Part number is 326632.
I got it sold as a SP01/02 one.
The original GFR one is almost the same. It is only a little bit lighter because Luigi has turned down a few mm on the outside.
You may measure the exact inside of the thread of your Flywheel, send it to me and i will compare it with mine. Just to be shure
My puller is from Buzetti. You may get one in nearly every shop that sells scooter parts. Or from Gottfried :)

size of puller

Post by linju62 » Sun Apr 27, 2008 5:27 pm

Hi Joachim and thanks for the effort.

I measured with caliper the dimension and it was 25mm.

I was wondering about the readings of the coil too (capacitor charging coil)
and the reading according the workshop manual of crono says that it should be 46 ohms between blue and ground.
I think SP 01 should be pretty much same?
Mine was 34ohms.
If resistance is that much wrong (20%) I think that might be the cause for week spark in the plug?

hmmm.. that could be M 26x1,0.
But in most of the cases the inner diameter is bigger than it should be.
So....
The pullers are not that expensive. I would start with M 26 ;)
Did you have a spare parts list of your SP and could look after the part number I have send?

Measuring such low resistances may be a problem.
One solution is just to test it. If you can find a second one :)

Hi

Just look at the SP01 spare catalog and the spare number looks same what you said

326632 Rotor ESV in catalog
but there is a second number for rotor too 326630 Rotor.

What might be the difference?

Hooray!!!

Post by linju62 » Sun May 11, 2008 1:09 pm

Got it running yesterday.
Problem was the capacitor charging coil 34 ohms instead of 46 ohms.

But same time I found that brand new CDI box was broken too, throw old in and first try the engine woke up.

Thanks for the help to all who bothered to answer.

Gilera DNA 50

Post by lucianbeleuzu » Fri May 30, 2008 9:50 am

Ok... i have a Gilera DNA 50, and in this weekend i want to clean his carb.
I will remove it from the engine and put it in a carb liquid cleaner. What or how do you recommend to use for cleaning? Something like diesel, fuel, or diluent.

The problem is that i need some parts for my Gilera DNA 50... and i must identify those pieces from the Vintage catalogue, can you help me and tell me what components from there are for Gilera DNA 50?

Im looking for coil, flywheel, CDI, regulator, but i don`t know wich them are for Gilera DNA 50. Please indicate me the pieces for my "motor" :D

Ah by the way... sorry about my english, im a romanian... and i haven`t speaked or wrote in english for almost 4 years.
