Temperaturefeeler RC600C

Post by zajon » Wed Aug 08, 2007 3:17 pm

Hello
My Temperaturefeeler ( it is in the left radiator on the bottom mounted) doesn't switch the fan's anymore. i need a new one. Does anybody know if theres a standard replacement from some japanese bike for it?
I heard that there's similar in some H*****, but I don't know which type.
Thank you for advices.
Regards
jan

Have you tried to connect the two wires to test if the fans will run?
Sometimes the fans itself cause much more troubble than the switch in the radiator.

PS you may ask Gottfried at www.hahne-power.de

Hello
Fans, both of them, work perfectly, i just to have connect those 2 wires and they start to rotate. So i think it's just a matter of switch them on when the cooling liquid starts to boil. Normally on road I don't need them, but off road they are neccesary sometimes, so I just put some metal between the plates of the feeler and the fans start to work.
Regards
Jan

What about a switch. Handmade cooling :)
May be a solution until you have found the part.

Hi all,
The same problem, made a manual switch...

But i'm still yearning for my temprature sensor. Because it's very uncool and i became paranoid about operating the fans for too long, causing their electric motors wear out...

Maybe Stefans idea with the FIAT part (the thread also exists in the german part of the forum) will give a solution.
Maybe i will have a look at our family Fiats (4 pcs) ....
