Hello everybody

! I am new here, and i have many problems with my Nordie with the electric starter...
So i would like to know if it is possible to adapt the kickstarter from the RC600 or maybe just the decompressor?
Anyone done this before?
Many thanks!

Not done this myself, but one or more blokes from the old UK Gilera Club reckoned they did.
Why do you want to fit it?
The Nordie's electric foot is usually trouble free and quite easy to fix when it isn't.
What's the problem?

It`s possible, no problem, the onest problem are footrasts; take it from RC or fit original in other position ( for way of kickstart ). Bye Gottfried

Thanks for the help guys!
The reason why i "want" to do this, is because i am fed up with the battery going down! I don´t understand why it is so hard to rotate the engine once the battery is not 100%! Maybe the engine has too much compression?
When i press the start button, if it does not start the first time the battery is not capable of turning the engine any more! And this is the second battery allready!
Once, the battery could not start the bike, but i was still capable of starting my car!!!
That´s strange, isn´t it?

Sorry to trouble you guys, but i really need help with this one... Because i cant ride my Nordie now.
I think im going to put the decompressor system with a manual lever, can anyone explain what parts do the decompressor system have? Any pictures or schemes would really help. Can i buy this used? How much would it be? Danke!

maybe you have a problem with the starter clutch. Mine did like yours. I always thought the batterie or the starter engine ist the problem. I replaced everything piece by piece. Nothing helped. Finally the clutch was gone... replaced it and everything was fine. Cross my fingers that is always like this next spring
The manual decompressor also was something i was thinking about.
You will need some parts. Problem..... if the left valve rocker of the outlet side has no lever for the decompressor.... well that means a lot of work.
If it has..... I think it could be done.
You didn't have an spare parts list?
The Saturno has an automatic decompressor. You will need the parts in the cylinder head, some cable and some lever for the handle bar. The Saturno choke lever may be a good idea.

Thanks for the advice!
Unfortunatly, i don´t have a spare parts list for my Nordwest, Joachim...
Do you know where can i find one? Would like one for the Saturno and RC to compare also. Anyone can help me with this? Cheers.

If you have a look at the picture on the Bi-4 engine timing? thread you will see part 21 fixed there with some copper wire
