1k ohm spark plug cap???

1k ohm spark plug cap???

i have an apache (same motor as the cx) it burned the coil recently, when i was testing the coil I noticed that the plug cap was 5k ohm and the manual says it should be 1k, would this make any differnce, and where can i find a nice silicone 1K cap?, i can only find 0ohms or 5k on the net.

A mecanic told me this motor is a moded yamaha unit, is this true?

No!!!
At least if the engine ist really the same as the one from the CX

it is defo the origional motor and the manual shows that the apche cx and crono all had the same engine, that mecanic was just looking at the casings and said that they were similar to the yam ones.

any ideas about the plug cap?
