100 psi compression

Post by angelo » Tue Mar 21, 2006 6:05 pm

I did a compression test today and found that my compression with the power valve in the rest possition is 100psi. is this bad? the bike is a two stroke 125 gilera apache from 1994 it has 8000k on the clock and has never had the piston or rings changed.

Ok I did the test again and I get values in the 90s if I just do one kick and then reset each time. for you guys who do not use psi 15 psi is one atmosphere: so it gives a value of about 6 atmospheres. I must need new piston rings.

where is the best place to get them and a top end gasget set?
