I have a problem with my bike, I would be very happy if someone could point me to an online workshop manual for this bike especialy the electrical system.
my problem is that the bike will not charge, the voltage regulator tests OK, there is strong AC comming out of the wires from the magneto, but when i feed that into the regulator I get nothing at the + out put????????????
I will go though the loom slowly as soon as i can get a wireing diogram or a full manual for the Apache.

If you need a new regulator just send me a PM or mail - I´ve got some.

testing testing
I have tested the regulator as per the manual the diodes all hold back voltage in one direction and reads these readings as a diod test in the other direction
yellow 800
yellow 800
black/red 1500
which is close ish to 1000, I will go out and test the continuity of the yellow AC wires now.
yesterday I tried two ducati reg/recs of very similar desine and the both failed to give me any DC at all, a bulb across the two yellow AC wires makes a very bright light so something is coming from the generator???? I recently cleaned the carb at night......... maybe i put some strain on the loom wires that go into the case as replaceing the carb was quite hard. could you sugest a way of testing these.

yahhhooo! I striped the magneto out and it was full of small fragments of magnet, about 5cm cubed. I do not have a flywheel puller so i just had to pull them out of the gaps, when it was done the system started to charge again. I do not know what was the exact cause or if it is going to last but tomorrow i am going out to the country tomorow to get muddy at last!
now i just have to sort out the hesitation at 7000 rpm and i could be really happy a happy bunny.
