You have thought about progressive springs from White Power, Technoflex, Wirth.... ?
You may also check for fresh oil and the air gap.
IMO one should use W7,5 oil.
Air gab should be about 160mm. Fork completly stroked down, measured without spring.
Hope that helps....

Tanks joaquim, but I thing is not enough.

I put fork oil SAE 15 and until 150mm ( I thing much oil can it be dangerous for the o-rings), clean inside but don´t go well

I explain you.

I go in a little circuit next my house. Is a go-kart circuit, not so big but very cheap.

I have problems because the bike is so hard to put in curve, ( is difficult to me explain in english) but you can feel that is so strong. Normal this is for so much heavy rear. I put the fork for more high for put down the bike in front. now is more "light". :P
The bike can change in oposite curves quickly and easy but I have a new problem.

In spain we says that the bike is like "gelatine" Is when the bike is so much smooth is the suspensions and in curves don´t have firmity. Similar like if you don´t have enoght presure in the tires, you know? :)

Normaly this is so smoth front fork and the compresion so open. I can not regulate compresion, so I need more strong fork, I think.

I think to change the front fork for something better with rgulation, etc but I want conserve my bike in original conditions, so I want get a good fork of this old Marzocchi.

Now I try to put a suplement inside for more precharge in the spring but I think is not so much...

You Know somebody with this problem?

Some solutions for somebody?

Think that in this circuit alwais there are people with KTM supermotard, Races 125cc, etc... And the first thay when I arrived with my saturno They laghing and ridicule my bike, but after a few rounds, They understand that the gilera can goes fast that mous of them, is still alive.
now the saturno is respected and admire...

But there are somes than is fasted than the gilera, so I need fight to put the gilera´s name in the top... jejeje

Hola Carlos

the original Marzocchi isn't realy a racing thing.
If you try the progresiv springs from WP you will have in the first couple of cm a little bit a softer fork then the original one,
this you can compensate if you put some longer distanze in (but not too mutch there have to be again enough way in the spring)
if you still not happy with this I think the 15 oil isn't a top choice becaus the fork comes then also very slowly out
by the way the excenter of the back wheel is positioned down ?
so that the bike rear is as high as possible (turns also a little bit easyer but lose also grip on the back wheel because of less weight.

if this is stil not enough for you you hafe to change the fork
for the moment I build a sos race bike with a Aprilia RS 250 UPS fork
should by quit Ok with the Saturno in terms of basic setup
think in ca 1 month there will be some pictures on my page
but exactly I can tell you only after the first laps on the race trac

hope you will get happy with you baby

regards
Mauri

Hello Mauri:

First of all, Thanks for your expert response. :D

At finally, I open totally the fork.
Inside I have a progresive spring who have write "WP 97" so, I understand hat is not original. I think that is a White Power spring.
I think That I can do nothing more about spring.

There are a suplement 56 m.m. long to compress the spring.
I think to put 20mm. more

When I open the forks I understand that the right side is for extension and the left is for compresion. I put SAE 15 and you are correct. Now I have so much slow extension, so I think to put SAE 5 only in right side for try have more hard fork. This I want try after suplement because with this suplement can need more hard extension than the standar.

What is your opinion?

If this is not so much, I do it special parts with leathe to try more hard compress with the hidraulic sistem

In fact, you are right when say forget the original forks and put better forks, but I don´t loose the original look. Everybody in my circut laughing wiht this bike and I want give a kick in his back!

The last thing, congratulation for your home page. I thing that you are doing a really good job in the bikes and specially with Saturno. Sure I will buy you some parts....
