20kW RC600c --> full power?

Post by jori » Mon Apr 04, 2005 7:58 am

Hello,

Gilera I bought at last winter is 20kW at paper. I was sure that it has changed to full power, but after fitting summer tyres I found that top speed is around 110-120km/h. During weekend I took carbs off and found that there is too small main jets. 1carb mainjet is 140 (manual says 155), carb mainjet is 140 (manual 145).

Could some one tell me what else they did to reduce the power?

Regards,
Jori

Normaly is there between cyl. & manifold a reduce-plate, you must remove it! The inlet-cover by air-cleaner must have all squares open ( by reduced version are only 5 open) ...and then bigger jets! It`s possible, that exhaust is reducesed ( end of ellbow ) sometimes is there a smaller tube in it; you must remove it! By Gottfried

The carb. is the same of Yamaha XT - TT - Tenerè, of the age between 87 - 91 ... the jets for these types are correct!
