6v LED 'bulbs' ?

Post by lambs » Tue Jul 31, 2018 11:22 am

I'm in the midst of a full re-wire on the Autostrada. Thinking about new 6v globes (tail/stop, instrument light, etc) and curious to know if anyone has tried 6v LED equivalents.

TIA

Hi TIA

I did. Looks a bit strange, because of the cool white Light, but it works.
Much lower Power Consumption and brighter Light.
I only use it in the rear Light, because of the Colour.

Best Wishes,
Johann

Strangeness is fine :)

Increased brightness and lower power consumption can only be plusses on a 6v system. They're more expensive, of course, but worth a try I think.

*danke*

maybe you can find something in 'warm white' instead of the bright white ones.
And tell us how long they last ;)
LED in bike or car environment they sometimes die very fast.
In my car i first first had a constant-current electronic which did not work. Next a constant-voltage unit.
If i remember right. As it's now years ago. Without any problems in the end.

I dyed LEDs in yellow for the Gauge Illumination of my Classic Car.
The Result is not really great. It's still a big Difference to regular Bulbs.
LEDs can`t hide their Identity...
