New Saturno Owner in Melb. Australia

Post by mikewallis » Thu Feb 22, 2018 11:27 pm

Hi,

Just bought a 1988 Japanese model Saturno 350 Isle of Man Edition.

It's been partially repainted and looks very clean. The odometer reads only 22,000 ks. but from the condition seems genuine.

It's had a few upgrades including an Ohlins rear shock and a very nice pair of Forcelle Italia fully adjustable forks. It's also been fitted with a Keihin flat slide carburetor.

It rides and performs well for an '80s 350 on the road and loves to rev. Handling is very sharp and easily a match for any modern lightweight I've ridden.

I had to tighten and replace a couple of bolts when it arrived and swap out the radiator cap but nothing serious so far.

I still need to change a few things to get it roadworthy such as the chain guard to put it on Club reg.

I'm located in Melbourne Australia if anyone local wants to catch up.

Mike

The inside distance between the two tubes is 140mm

It's a tight fit though and the fork lower on the disc brake side has been machined a little near the top to allow clearance for the disc.
