this gfr needs a top end rebuild .does start but low compression.
there is a problem with over heating bubbling coolant .
naff battery
everything else seems fine just need pointing in the right direction starting with a manual

There is only *one* fuse (blue 15A)

Bubbling sounds like a problem with the head gasket.
Maybe thsi is also the reason for your low compression.

That's not easy to answer.
In GB you may still get something from Bob Wright.

The only workshop manual I'm aware of for the GFR is in Italian. Google hard enough and you may find that which you seek. As Joachim said, it sounds like a blown head gasket is causing low compression and overheating.

The GFR cooling system is prone to air locks if not refilled correctly, which in turn can lead to seizure and *no compression* (voice of experience).

By the way, one of my GFRs is for sale in the UK at the moment and it has created several queries from GFR owners (didn't think there were that many left!)

When are you going to pop in at 'The GeN' again Joachim
