I am repainting my 1959 Giubileo 175. Has been painted before and was hoping to find a paint code or accurate color match for this bike. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Noted a prior string with a Giubileo 98 but not sure the colors were the same. jbjgo

Hi jbjgo,

Great bike you got there *thumb*
I have one myself so I know
What colors is it gonna be?

Paint can still be ordered at the original Gilera supplier, Lechler.
Please check the download section for a color index at their website
http://www.lechler.eu/on-line/Home/Area ... 0.8.1.html
And there's a UK based firm http://www.paints4u.com that will sell you spray cans in the original colors as well.

By the way, we love pictures on the forum here!
So I hope you are willing to post some pics :?:

Thanks so much, went to their page but could find the 98 Giubileo but not the 175, I assume the colors were the same? I am planning on the red with white trim. It is now all in parts but will be happy to post when assembled.

Hi jbjgo,

Color codes for the 98 sei giorni and 175 are not the same. The sei giorni color is more orange then red.
According to the Italian Registro Storico Gilera the red/orange color you are looking for is called "Rosso German".
The Lechler paint code for Rosso German is GIL A4, the ASI color code is 8196.
But if you prefer to paint your bike orange of course that's up to you, it's your bike!

Greetings,
