50th anniversary of 1st 100 mph lap of TT Circuit

Post by pppdrive » Fri Aug 18, 2006 2:06 pm

Sat/Sun 14/15 Jul 2007 is the date,
Mallory Park Circuit UK is the place,
Festival of 1,000 Bikes is the event where The I Gotta Gilera Owners Club of Britain will be celebrating the late Bob McIntyre's 100 mph lap of the TT circuit 50 years ago.
It is our intention to have a static display of as many Gilera bikes as we can get, together with some "parade laps" for a limited number of Gileras.
ALL Gilera motorbikes will be welcome (whether Club Members or not), all we ask is that you register your intent to display your bike by emailing us at gilera@igottagilera.co.uk so we can get an idea of the size of area we will require.
To all those non Club Members out there who own/ride a Gilera, we ask you to please help us to make this event as memorable as possible by coming along to ensure this will be the largest collection of Gileras ever displayed in one place.
As part of the normal "Festival" activities so well organised by the V.M.C.C., they have permitted us to have our "anniversary celebration" as an integral part of the Festival. If you've attended a previous Festival of 1,000 Bikes, you'll already know that it is a great weekend, if you've not been before, come along to enjoy what will be on offer together with being a part of the Gilera celebrations.
It is hoped that Gilera owners from other Countries will also make the trip across the channel to join us and again we ask that you email us to let us know. There is camping available at the circuit and if we can arrange it that those overseas visitors arrive in Britain together, we can arrange to meet you off the ferry and escort you to the circuit.

Hola Gilgilera,

Gracias por sus palabras amables.
Lamentable no digo Portugese, sólo un pequeño español, pero entiendo que es muy similar.

We have one person from Spain who will come to our celebration maybe we see you there?

Gilera estan primero

Hi Paul, i think you mean Castellano,....yes there are many similar words to Castellano and Galego (Galiza) but when it cames to speak directly with them.... you´ll find this is not a easy task, mainly because Spain is a country of many regional languages/dialects,....., any way.... i can understand what you´re saying,..... unfortunatly i think it will be a bit difficult for me to be present there,....., the job and family take most of my time, but..... if a chance occurs till there.... i´ll let you know . *thumb*
