Re: Giubileo 175 paint codes

Hi jbjgo, Color codes for the 98 sei giorni and 175 are not the same. The sei giorni color is more orange then red. According to the Italian Registro Storico Gilera the red/orange color you are looking for is called "Rosso German". The Lechler paint code for Rosso German is GIL A4, the ASI...

Re: Giubileo 175 paint codes

Hi jbjgo, Great bike you got there *thumb* I have one myself so I know  What colors is it gonna be? Paint can still be ordered at the original Gilera supplier, Lechler. Please check the download section for a color index at their website http://www.lechler.eu/on-line/Home/AreaDownload/Refinish...

Re: 1967 Gilera ss 106 question

Hi Gilerino, What a nice project. Looks like it's all there except for the front fender and the seat cover. You already do so in the picture yourself and it certainly gets the thumbs up from me too *thumb* Check out this ad which shows the fuel tank colors that were available. What color was yours? ...

Re: 1967 Gilera ss 106 question

You're welcome Gilerino. We hope to hear from you soon what was wrong with your bike :?: I had the same problems with my Gilera 202. So I ended up replacing all the wires and electrical parts. But still no spark  . I finally nailed it when I connected the tail light directly to the minus pole ...

Re: 1967 Gilera ss 106 question

Hi Gilerino, Welcome to this forum! Technically the Sears / Gilera 106 is very closely related to the Gilera 98 and 124 giubileo. Many parts are equal, so if you cannot find a condensor for a 106 then try google for a 98 or 124 condensor  . There is an active Yahoo group about the Sears / Gile...

Re: giubileo red

Hello Peter, I found some more information about your bike on the Italian classic Gilera forum at http://www.motoclub-tingavert.it/t353514s.html . It is all in Italian but lucky for us there is something called Google Translator nowadays giggle . There is lots of discussion on the Italian forum whic...

Re: 98 Giubileo Sei Giorni

Hi Peter, A fuel tank just like yours is offered on eBay Italy at the moment. It has the white striping in the middle too. So the color scheme on your 98 is probably original, and quite rare indeed :?: All 98s I have seen so far with the (very nice :D ) fuel tank that you have got were all orange/re...

Re: 98 Giubileo Sei Giorni

Hi Peter, Just send an email to the Registro Storico Gilera at registrostoricogilera@interfree.it and they will tell you exactly in which year and month your Gilera was produced. I imported my own Gilera B300 without any papers (pink slips :?: ) or license plate to Holland and I needed this informat...

Re: giubileo red

Hi Peter, I think I can help you on this one. A company named Lechler in Austria was one of the original paint suppliers for Gilera. They are still in business today and can supply you with the right paint color, based on the original color codes. Check out http://www.lechler.eu/on-line/Home/AreaDow...

Re: 98 Giubileo Sei Giorni

Hi, great ad that you found in the book. I have the same book but I never noticed! You are right, the 124 in the same ad is in fact a 1964 Sei Giorni Special. In 1961 Gilera introduced the 124 sei giorni which was red with a red and white fuel tank. In 1964 they introduced the speciale version which...

Re: 106ss parts

Hi Clutch, according to the parts manuals that I have got only the rocker covers are identical. So that should be quite a gamble I guess  Mister Bill Murar can tell you more about the subject for sure. He is a well known expert in the USA on Sears/Allstate machines. You can find his contact i...

Re: 98 Giubileo Sei Giorni

Hi Peter, what a great bike you have got there *thumb* . Well worth restoring this one to it's former beauty! The paint does indeed look original, although I have never seen a Gilera in this color combination. Who does :?: I have attached a picture of a black 98 dated from september 1960. The fuel t...
