HI
This is from the production process where some material have been removed manually by a Dremel or likewise.
I have also seen this on one of my pistons.

Hi
Sorry to write in english.
In the parts book the friction plates have a different spare part number as far as I remember.
And I think the friction is higher with the NW plates to my experience but it may be imagination.
Best regards
CB

Re: 558 Nordwest engine into 350 Saturno
You can use the 350 header, - I think it is the same as the 500 header and it havee the same pipe dimension as the 558 header as far as I remember.
I even use a 350 header on my 604cc although it is a bit small.

Re: 558 Nordwest engine into 350 Saturno
Hi Gavin Yes, you can take the drive gear from the 350 cam and mount it on the 558 cam and then modify the 558 head and top part to accept the bush and the other drive part. I think the drive gear is pressed or Loctited to the cam peg. This is the best solution. Be careful not to mix rocker arms fro...

Re: Cam belt jumped (Gilera RC 600)
Hi again I have bought all my belts from Bob Wright during the last 12 years and all of them have only been marked with Dayco number 137RXR180 and none of them have been marked with 321406/2. I defently also find Bob Wright as a reliable supplier. Maybe someone at Piaggio have made a big mistake by ...

Re: Cam belt jumped (Gilera RC 600)
Hi I am not a belt specialist but have looked at your pictures and I don't think that belt 3 and 4 looks correct. The surface of the belt looks too rough and not smooth enough compared to belt 1 and 2. I have also looked at all my 5-6 used belts and they look exactly like 1 and 2. I would defently n...

Re: Lithium Batterie für die saturno
Hi Ulf I have used a SHORAI LiFe battery for 2-3 years now without problems. I use a LFX14L2-BS12 which means 14Ah and has a CCA of 210A And they only weights 0,8Kg :) Before that I used a Hawker 8Ah battery and I think performance is about the same. You can find them at http://www.shorai-eu.com/ wh...

Re: 0 Ohm Kerzenstecker
Warning! Many CDI ignition systems do not like 0 ohm spark plugs combined with 0 ohm plug caps. I have read serious warnings against this sevaral places. I once made a condenser spark plug cable and combined this with a 0 ohm plug cap and a 0 ohm spark plug to give a good fat spark. When it was test...

Re: Ignition curve for 600cc?
Hi Christer I don't really know what you mean by base advance. All figures are crank shaft degrees starting at 7 degrees before top dead center from 0 to 1500. The electronic then make an advance of 31 degree which you shall add to get to the 38 at 4500. If you use 20 degree at idle you of coures on...

Re: Ignition curve for 600cc?
Hi Joachim and Christer Before I made this test I was also much in doubt whether the stated 30 degrees was the total advance of the system or it was the actual ignition point. Using 30 degrees at full advance is too little and will result in lower power and too much heat (using standard cams, compre...
