Re: 202 Super carb settings

Hi Jamie,
I have the same bike, but unrestored, up here in Scotland.
It may be worthwhile checking the float height, it sounds to me like it could be too high?. Eurocarb are very helpful, and may have the float height in their web site?. I have a manual, I'll see if I can find it.

Re: Saturno Keihin

Hi -auf Wunsch des Beitragserstellers geloescht-, Yes, you were correct, WOT, Wide Open Throttle. I'm actually very happy with the way my little 350 rides, it's an involving fun bike. It's so difficult to find any information about them, and I just wanted to make sure mine was running at as close to...

Re: Saturno Keihin

Hi Folks, Please excuse me for not replying sooner. I got my thermostat from Bob Wright, and even then it was a used one, all he had. I have seen some complete thermostat housings, with thermostat in place on the Australian Ebay?, worth a look there?. Thanks for the information on the Keihin -auf Wu...

Re: 202 Super Giubileo

Hi Nozem,
Thanks to your excellent information I have discovered my 202 Super was made in the last model year, 1968, matching engine and frame numbers.
If I can figure out how to post photo's I will do that.

Re: Resistor

The resistor works!, the gauge reads slightly above the space between the two green parts. I know of course the bike is running at the same temperature, but somehow it makes me relax a little more knowing the gauge is reading correctly.
Thanks to all.

Re: Saturno Keihin

Hi -auf Wunsch des Beitragserstellers geloescht-, I thought as much. All of the photo's of 350's with FCR39's fitted have been from Japan, or of Japanese bikes in Australia and NZ. Not to worry, I may experiment with jetting on the standard carb. I read with great interest your notes on the differen...

Saturno Keihin

Hello Folks
Does anyone have any experience if fitting a Keihin FCR carb to a Saturno?. Specifically an FCR39 to a 350?.
Thanks,
Alan.

Re: Resistor

No confusion Joachim, just help, thanks. There was in fact no resistor fitted, so I've soldered one into position. I haven't had a chance to ride and test yet, maybe tomorrow. Our roads are very treacherous with wet leaves, you have to be careful. I had it idling outside for a short while and observ...

Re: 202 Super Giubileo

Hi Nozem, That's a very comprehensive reply, thank you very much. I bought the bike perhaps 8 or more years ago here in Scotland. It was an actual, "found in a barn" find. It was advertised on a local sale site by a guy who specialised in older furniture and unusual items, not motorcycles....

202 Super Giubileo

Hello folks. I have an unrestored 202 Super which I've had for a few years now, soon I'm going to have to obtain a dating certificate for it so I can register it here in Scotland. I have no idea when the 202 Supers were made, I'm guessing mid to late 60's?, does anyone know?. The other thing is, I r...

Re: Resistor

Excellent, thanks folks.
I too was looking for the resistor up by the gauge. I'll pull the tank off and check.
Thanks,
Alan.

Re: Resistor

Hi Joachim,
Once again to the rescue, thank you.
Mine is in fact an early model, and doesn't seem to have a resistor.
Of course, it's only to make me feel better when I look at the gauge!.

Resistor

Hello Folks. My 350 Saturno temperature gauge has always read high, it gets up to the top of the green area just below the red and stays there, pretty rock steady. The fan doesn't come on, and it is working with new fan switch in the radiator and new temperature switch in the head, so I'm pretty sur...

Re: Float level

Hi HP,
I re set the float height to 18mm, it seems to start better, but as I said, I'll have to wait until I ride it. The accelerator pump is working.
I use super unleaded in my older bikes, it doesn't cost any extra, I get a better fuel consumption when using it!.
Thanks,
Alan.

Re: Float level

Hi folks, When I got the bike (a 350), it had been flooding long enough to take the paint off the engine. Stripping the carb revealed the float had been bent up so much it was touching the carb body and the needle valve wasn't even seating!, so the float chamber was filling all the time. I set the l...
