Sears 106ss no choke slide... Need advice.

I stripped the dellorto me8bs carbie. For a 49 years of age it was very clean and no fuel varnish. I have discovered that the choke slide is missing. The arm it attaches to is there. No lever. The bike fires up first kick when cold. Fuel being supplied from a fuel bottle. So do I need a choke slide?

Re: My 1967 Sears Gilera 106SS

Monday next week the powerhouse of a motorcycle that is the Gilera will arrive. Is it Monday yet? It now has a name. "Pistoncino" which is Italian for little piston. Well when you displace 106cc. https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-pVhYDwWD2BA/V-Ek8pJzhxI/AAAAAAAAKro/PBGgnrr9woQ973oucCc7zFiAjYyzIiA...

My 1967 Sears Gilera 106SS

Just about to take delivery of this great looking little machine. Really excited about this bike. It runs and runs well from what I have been told. This is what it looked like last week when it was posted for sale. https://3.bp.blogspot.com/-ZwQ15Sv8wO8/V9z6YfC70pI/AAAAAAAAKpw/WZJxVou6VtQKzpc9eJ60Wd...
