Re: New CX Owner

The electric project never got started due to ill health.

I've been fixing other peoples Morinis and making bits for friends race bikes rather than getting on with my won stuff.

One of these days.....

Re: XRT600

It's fitted with a tiny pair of rear indicators. When I get up into the workshop roof this weekend to dig out some Morini Dart parts to send to Denmark, I'll have a look through my box of indicators. I think I have a pair of Kanguru ones that would be more appropriate. It's going to get a service, i...

Re: Hi everyone im new looking for information on Gilera 125 RC

Well i was doing about 60mph/120km and it just locked up and died :( What was the water temperature? Highly tuned water cooled two stokes are prone to cold siezure. I use only fully synthetic 'race' oil in my CX and make very sure the engine is properly up to temperature before getiing into the pow...

Re: GFR / CX rear hugger

Sorry, I used a slang term there without thinking about it. I was of course talking about a rear mudguard. When mounted to the swingarm, rather than the frame, a mudguard can be much closer and 'hug' the tyre, hence the term hugger. I've got a good one on the first CX that I could take a mould off, ...

GFR / CX rear hugger

Is the GFR rear hugger the same as the CX, or is it similar enough to fit?

Does anyone have a CX or GFR rear hugger?

It would save me having to make one.

Microfiche Scans

I have the following parts Microfiches and can get them scanned into PDF format (at a reasonable cost). 125 SP 01 (1990) 125 Endurance KZ (1988) 125 MXR (1990) 125 MX1 (1989) 125 XR1 (1989) 125 RC (1990) 125 CX (1991) 600 RC (1990) 600 Nord West (1991) I'm personally only interested in the CX, but i...

Re: Gilera XR1 125, 1988!!!! Trovata!!!! Finally!!!!

I had to replace the rear mastercylinder on one of my CX's and I think I've still got the dead one around.

It think it had a good dust boot, I'll see if I can find it.

I could do with two complete sets of bodywork screws if anyone had them.

Mad bugger that I am, I've just bought another CX. With the rolling frame I bought (still in Holland at the moment I think), that makes three! It's another ebay job, from the East coast of the UK this time rather than the West. It wasn't as cheap as the first and it's not quite as good (better in so...

Hi Paul! I think that this is NOT "the right price"....... No, not considering I paid £1000 (approx. 1300 Euro) for the one I have! I know I was lucky to get one for that price though. You can find bargains on ebay, if you only buy the bargains. I'll swap a Morini Dart for a CX if anyone is interes...

New CX Owner

I recently bought myself a CX from ebay here in the UK. I really didn't need another bike, in fact I was trying to sell two Morini Darts (buyer backed out) and in all I have about 13 bikes (Cagiva, Morini, Motobi and now a Gilera). http://www.compton.vispa.com/Pictures/GileraCX1.jpg The CX was runni...
